Our vision

A world where everyone has access to the abundance that nature provides

I’m Stacey and I founded SolarCharge because I believe everyone should have access to the abundance that nature provides.

After growing up in Auckland and spending a decade overseas, my husband and I moved to beautiful Rotorua in 2016.

Since then we’ve been working towards growing some of the food we eat, generating some of the power we need, and collecting almost all of the water we use.

We’re also fortunate enough to work from home most of the time, which means that our plug-in EVs can be charged from the solar panels on our roof (when it’s sunny!).

Whether I’m working in my office or doing chores around the house, being stuck inside on a sunny day hurts a bit, but it hurts less knowing our car is drinking up all that sunshine to take me on adventures later.

I founded SolarCharge because I want that for others too - to be able to drive around knowing you’re driving on sunshine!

Hi!
